Our Cognos application fails to connect using 4x agent. We are seeing handshake issues in the Policy Server smps.log.  We have verified that we are using the correct shared secret for the 4.x agent.

Bad security handshake attempt. Handshake error: 3154

Handshake error: Shared secret incorrect for this client

Environment variables can cause problems with the 4.x agent connection to the policy server.


Ensure that CAPKIHOME environment variable is set for the Cognos user.  CAPKIHOME should point to the <WEB_AGENT_HOME>/CAPKI directory.
