Error when attempting to replace Task in Workflow that contains Variable as an alias

Error Message :
Error: U00020568 Runtime error in object 'XNEWTASK(GET)', line '00094':
DS return code: '0001001906': 'U01001906 Line '3': ';' required at the end of a reference.', Error occurred in UCDSFUN at position: ''.

A Workflow with at least one task in it. The task has a variable as alias in the task properties.Trying to replace the task by right clicking on it and choosing 'Replace task...', the above error appears. See the screenshots below.

Additional Information

Workaround :
Before replacing, remove the variable from the task properties, then replace and after that add the variable again.
