The ARA update from version 5 to 8 fails when the upgrade process is updating the data in the database with following error:

Root Cause: A bug within the installation routine causes the Data Migration to fail to upgrade the database to version 8.0.0 (ARA 12.1) if the database contains custom actions.

Resolution

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.

The issue was found and fixed with Release.Manager 8.0.0 HF1. The Package is available for download at the Automic-Support-Zone (https://support.automic.com).

A problem has been fixed where Data Migrator fails to upgrade database to version 8.0.0 (ARA 12.1) if the database contains custom actions.
