The z/OS Event Monitor terminates after the start with S0C4 RC11

Cause

Root Cause: The VSAM to store the event statuses has been damaged and is inconsistent or other storage / volume related error persists.

Resolution

1. Recreate and reinitialize the VSAMs of the Event Monitor on all LPARS where the Event Monitor should be active according to the Step 04 or Step 08 of the Agent Install Guide:
 

Installation Guide > Installing the Automation Engine > New Installation > Installing the Agent for z/OS

2. Start the Event Monitor/s   

3. Check the scheduled z/OS Events and restart/reschedule them if necessary. Some Events could end in a passive/hanging state because of the initialization of the VSAMs.
