Universe.log is full of the following EEP "Error: no filepath and filename specified"

Issue/Introduction

The universe.log file is getting full due to recurring error messages about a file resource but the file resource does not exist.

Error Message in the universe.log:

Product Version: Dollar Universe 6.x

 

Cause

This is caused by a wrong Launch Formula Definition in one of the Uprocs as it points to a non-existing Resource.

Resolution

Please apply first a, and only b if necessary.

a. Check the resource logs / history trace of Event Wait jobs as one of them could point to a non-existing resource.

If you find the "guilty" Uproc, modify its launch formula, deleting that non-existing Resource condition or redeploy the missing Resource.

 

b. In case there is no Jobs in Event Wait, and the error continue to be displayed in the universe.log, we need to reinitialize the following data files in all areas that are enabled:
u_frrv60 -> Resources being supervised (resource events)

PROCEDURE:

Important : You will lose all information about resources and resource management.
So it important to do it when no resources are being used.
Please backup all the files concerned before running the reinitialization.

-Load the Dollar Universe environment (unienv.bat  or unienv.ksh) and go to the bin folder

-Stop the DUAS company:

unistop

-Execute the following commands for each area that is enabled (X, A, I and/or S). X-area is used in the example:

uxrazfic u_frrv60 X


-Perform an offline reorg:
unireorg

-Start Dollar Universe:
unistart
