In order to avoid this issue from occurring again, you should untar the kit (spa-XXX.tar) to another directory different of /tmp/sysload.
The workaround consists on launching the setup on mode -task updatebootcfg from a different folder ( not /tmp/sysload).
This will create the /etc/init.d/sysload script and the rest of symbolic links on /etc/rcX.d
Example:
