EEP process does not detect a resource file, and the job stays in event wait

Issue/Introduction

EEP process user has access to a folder where the Resources are pointing but it does not detect a resource file (which can be seen in the Resource Log). As a consequence, the job will stay in event wait.

Environment

OS: All Unix
Product: Dollar Universe 6.x and superior

Cause

Cause type: Configuration issue (wrong mounting point or missing group in the user starting the uxeepsrv process).

Resolution

Troubleshooting steps:

- First, verify with the system team that the mounting point where the files are stored has been properly mounted, else fix it and remount it so that the user starting the Dollar Universe process EEP can have access to it.

- Then check if the user is already part of the system group where the files belong to by running the command "id" and try to read that file using a cat command or similar by exploring each of the different parent folders permissions.

- If it does not belong to the group, then ask your System Administrators to add it and then restart Dollar Universe.
