Patch level detected:Dollar Universe 5.6
Product Version: Dollar.Universe 5.6.0 FX25010

Description :Dollar Universe stopped working after a crash of uxioserv process.

Environment

OS: IBM AIX
OS Version: All

Cause

Cause type:
Configuration
Root Cause: The process uxioserv was unable to open a new thread and raised a signal 11 (Segmentation fault).
It occurs because the process memory limit (ulimit -d) by default on AIX is set to:In case of large number of jobs, processes can reach this memory limit and then been avoided to create any new threads (which requires more memory).
These settings should be added to the root account and dollar Universe Administrator account.

Resolution

In order to avoid such an issue please set the "ulimit -d" to the following value : Data (Kbytes) 512000
You can use this command "ulimit -d 512000" to set this limit.

This value should be set for the root user and dollar universe administrator account.

Should you have a higher value on each of those accounts please keep it.

Please do not set this value to "unlimited"

Fix Status: No Fix
