Issue/Introduction
When we link the Maintenance License to the Effective License using the "Update with base license" (under Maintenance License), we lose the order date and order number for the original base license purchase (under Effective License). How can this be avoided?
Environment
CA Software Asset Manager, 4.x releases
Resolution
The order date follows the license. In this scenario, the Maintenance license becomes Effective and the base license is moved to the base license pool.
Navigate back to the 'update with base license' option to view the original base license order number and order date.
