Environment

Cause

Cause type:
Configuration
Root Cause: When a SP Console is not shutdown properly(e.g. sudden Windows reboot, hibernate, unplug network cable), the SP token server consider the console as connected to the token server and will not release the related license.
SP console must be shutdown by clicking on the "close" window icons.

Resolution

1/ In case need to access console urgently:

In order to release tokens that are not yet in "outdated" status :
- Stop the Token Server
- Make sure you have the latest sldtkd.lic file (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Delete the sldtkd.dat file (All current leases will be terminated)
- Put the sldtkd.lic file in the sldtkd directory
- Restart the Token Server
- Restart all agents (either through the console or through the Management Server API) otherwise they will stop at the end of the "grace time"

2/ SP console must be shutdown by clicking on the "close" window icons.
