Unable to access ITAM BOXI reports

Business Objects 4.1 SP3 Database: 2012

Cause

 

 

 

 

Resolution

Step 1 : Install SQL Server Native client on the BOXI server.

Step 2:  Login to Universe Designer -> tools->connections->New connection

a.  Provide a Connection Name.

b. Select Microsoft -> MS SQL Server 2012->OLE DB Provider.

c. Provide the valide user name, Password, Database server name, Name of the Database(ex:MDB)

d. Connection PoolMode: "Select Disconnect After Each transaction"

e. Click finish to finish the process.

Step 3 :  File -> Import -> CA IT Asset Manager.

Step 4:   File -> Paramater -> Connection:  Select the connection which is created under Step 2.

              Click on Edit and complete the wizar as per Step2.

Step 5 : File -> Save.

Step 6 : File -> Export.
