Description :The agent launches the "netstat –v" command on network adapters that are not connected, this could lead to a crash of the VIOS system on unpatched VIOS systems (without IBM fix IV65286).

Root Cause: The issue was due to a bug on the VIOS systems of the command netstat -v

Environment

OS: IBM AIX
OS Version: AIX on versions

Resolution

As a workaround for the agent VIOS 5.60, edit the configuration file sldvios.ini and set section [RTAD] as below :

[RTAD]
SEthAdapter=0
PEthAdapter=0
VEthAdapter=0
LAEthAdapter=0

Then restart the agent.

The definitve solution is included on Sysload Agent for IBM VIOS 5.80a
