Error : Invalid license for product SmWebAsAgent in ERP Agent for SAP

Issue/Introduction

 

After installing and configuring the ERP Agent for SAP, starting it
the ERP Agent for SAPWebAS returns the following error:

  Invalid license for product SmWebAsAgent 

as per SAP server traces :

The license is a brand new one and it's a valid one. No request gets
to the Policy Server.

 

Environment

 

ERP Agent R12.0 64bit (build 254) on SAP Netweaver 7.01 on RedHat 7.1 64bit;
Policy Server R12.52 on RedHat 6;
Policy Server JDK 1.7.0_25 32bit;

 

Resolution

 

This error message will show up if the ERP Agent is not installed
correctly.

Completely remove the ERP Agent binaries from the system and SAP, and
proceed to install it again taking care of the following aspects :

  - Follow the official documentation step by step to install and
    configure;

  - Use the latest CR of the version you install;

  - Configure the smwebas.home variable in the SAP Server before running
    the Configurator, as described in the documentation;

  - Run ca_sapwebas_env.sh environment variable script before starting
    the SAP Server and before running the Configurator;

  - Re-deployed the SiteMinderLoginModule.sda;
