Environment

OS: All

Cause

Cause type:
Defect
Root Cause: N/A

Resolution

The short-term history files are never purged, they rotate every day, so the sld_rebuild that allows to compact the history files and recreate the index files is not necessary.

It is very unlikely that the short-term history files can be damaged, and in case it occurs, it would only affect 2 files maximum.

Therefore, in order to launch a rebuild on the short-term history files, the parameter -hst_file must be used instead of -hst_dir
