Issue/Introduction

How to allow the download of unsigned ActiveX controls on to IE browsers 

Environment

CA Service Desk Manager 12.9CA Service Catalog R12.9CA Service Desk Manager 14.1CA Service Catalog R14.1

Cause

Unable to render the Dashboard tables on IE versions browser due to missing relevant ActiveX controls

Resolution

Please follow this procedure as follows: 

1. Open Internet Explorer. 

2. Click on Tools > Internet Options. 

3. Go to the Security tab. 

4. Click on Custom level. 

5. In the menu that opens, scroll to "Download unsigned ActiveX controls" and check the value selected is "Enable". 

6. If not Enabled, select the check box to Enable this option. 

7. Click on OK to validate and close the Settings window.
