At the end of the failed installation, we can see the following error in the prompt:

Description :Installation of patch FX24937A (for SAP Manager 4.4.1) fails on AIX.

Environment

OS: IBM AIX
OS Version: 5.3 and 6.1

Cause

Root Cause: On AIX OS's (6.1 & 5.3), the RFC library 'librfccm.o' stays loaded in memory despite of the fact that the SAP Manager 441 has been stopped.

Resolution

Workaround with the Manager 4.4.1:
- After having stopped the SAP Manager, use the command : genkld | grep librfccm.o
Output should be : d11c7000 4d5e65 /orsyp/SAP/441/lib/librfccm.o

- If the shared library is still loaded in memory, use the command : slibclean
to unload from the memory the unused shared library.

- Check that the shared library has been unloaded from the memory (with the command
genkld | grep librfccm.o). No output should be returned.

- Perform the SAP Manager 441 patch FX24937A installation again.

The final correction is available with the SAP Manager 6 which is included in Dollar Universe 6.* kits.
