MVS ProgName attribute displayed in z/OS JOBS labeled "Program Name" instead of "Programmers Name"
Article ID: 84990
CA Automic Workload Automation - Automation Engine
Error Message : N/A
The field label of MVS Jobs > ZOS tab under the Runtime options with the name "Program Name" is misleading.
<Please see attached file for image>
In the documentation, the field description is described as the "Programmers Name" and not "Program Name". However, without knowing this, it is potentially possible that job creators might enter an invalid value based on the misleading name.
The field itself does not necessarily impact production runs, however an invalid entry within it could cause confusion.
Ensure that job developers are aware that the field's content should contain the "Programmers Name" as described in the documentation.
Cause type: Defect Root Cause: The attribute MVS_ProgName uses the label "Program Name" in the z/OS JOBS object definition page. The label shows the misleading text "Program Name" instead of "Programmers Name".
