JRM cannot open Events after upgrade to 3.2.2

ERROR: com.levatis.uc4.relationcache.controller.uc42helper.EVNTMapperHelper com.levatis.uc4.relationcache.controller.uc42helper.EVNTMapperHelper.reload(EVNTMapperHelper.java:159) Could not open object: [EVENT_OBJECT_NAME] null null

After upgrading Request Manager to version 3.2.2, Events cannot be opened as usual and an error message similar to the above message is displayed in the Job log.

The above error message was displayed in a JBoss for Request Manager (JRM) log.  

At the Automation Engine (AE) level, the following message is displayed:

"U00020305 Runtime error in object 'XREQUEST(ACT)', line '00336'.
The start column for the sub-string statement ('001') is not within the string (length '0000')."
