Problem Upgrading TDM Portal 4.3 from 4.2.10

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading from the 4.2 version to the 4.3 version that just went GA September 29, 2017,  TDM GT Datamaker shows the correct version, but the TDM Web Portal still shows 4.2. Why is this?

 

Steps that were done prior to installing the TDM Web Portal:

  1. Removed it (i.e. uninstalled from the control panel).
  2. Deleted all the folders it created.
  3. Verified that the Registry did not contain any entries for the TDM Web Portal.
  4. Rebooted the machine after clean up.
  5. Installed TDM Web Portal from scratch.
    • Did this same series of steps when migrating from 4.1 to 4.2, but the clean-up process worked in that upgrade.  
    • Failed in this upgrade.

Environment

TDM 4.2 to 4.3

Resolution

Based on the series of steps performed and the fact that it only fails to list the Version in the TDM Web Portal, the last clean up item left to do is clear the browser cache.  It should be noted that the Chrome browser immediately started showing the correct version while the IE browser to up to 5x's to finally clear the cache. However, after clearing the cache, both browsers should show the 4.3 version.
