Unable to monitor IPv6 devices with net_connect probe

Issue/Introduction

I am able to ping devices with IPv6 protocol from the robot where the net_connect probe is running but when I test the connection from the probe itself the connection fails.

ping -6 <IPv6 address> --> OK

net_connect GUI > New Host > IPv6 ping --> Failed

Cause

The robot where the net_connect probe is installed on is configured for IPv4 only.

Resolution

In Infrastructure Manager open the controller GUI of the net_connect robot, navigate to Setup > IP and select 'IP version 4 and IP version 6 support' and click OK.

The controller will restart and you should now be able to add IPv6 devices for net_connect monitoring.
