Issue/Introduction

An approval task when viewed by the user in Identity Portal throws a class cast exception error.

Environment

Identity portal  14.1 Identity Manager 14.1 

Cause

The issue stems from a miss-configured sqljdbc.jar driver

Resolution

If you are using JRE 8 you need to use sqljdbc42.jar

If you are using JRE 7 you need to use sqljdbc41.jar
