11.3.6 SP6 CUM1 Failed on Client

Issue/Introduction

There are incorrect and unneeded references to the $AUTOSYS/dbobj directory in the Client and SDK SP6 CUM1 patch.  

 

The following errors can be seeing in the install log.

cp: /opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/autosys/dbobj: No such file or directory

 

Environment

AE 11.3.6 SP6 CULM1Now permanently fixed in 11.3.6 SP6 Culm 1

Resolution

As the installer has incorrect and unneeded references to the $AUTOSYS/dbobj directory, a temporary directory needs to created.

Workaround steps:

1. Create empty directory $AUTOSYS/dbobj 
   
   • mkdir $AUTOSYS/dbobj 
2. Apply the patch
3. After successfully applying the patch, remove the $AUTOSYS/dbobj directory 
   • rm -rf $AUTOSYS/dbobj

This is now permanently fixed in 11.3.6 SP6 Culm 1
