RCALPROC is not called for archived data sets with CA XCOM Data Transport r12.0 .

Issue/Introduction

I created an XCOMRCAL proc and put it in proclib, and changed the RCALPROC to XCOMRCAL, recycled XCOM, then scheduled a transfer of an archived tape, but XCOM sat and waited for the DSN to be restored from tape, it did not call the XCOMRCAL proc. This used to work.

Cause

The RCALPROC feature is not working because a call to SHOWCAT is recalling  the data set before RCALPROC processing can take place. IBM modified both the SHOWCAT and LOCATE operations to recall archived datasets and the XCOM RCALPROC feature no longer works.

Resolution

Apply RCALPROC SUBMITTED IN ERROR FOR ALL GDG TRANSFERS for XCOM for z/OS 12.0.
