When executing the CA Common Services for z/OS CAS9 proc, the CAIRIM component License Management Program, is issuing CAS9182A warning messages which are flooding the console.

Issue/Introduction

 

The Console is being flooded by the following CAS9182A message: 

*CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AK) expires in 029 days
*CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AK) expires in 029 days 
*CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AK) expires in 029 days
*CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AK) expires in 029 days 
*CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AK) expires in 029 days
*CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AK) expires in 029 days 
*CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AK) expires in 029 days
*CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AK) expires in 029 days

The flood of messages are rendering the consoles almost unusable at this point due to the flood of messages and he Operators will have difficulties processing the nightly batch work if the consoles are not usable.

 

Cause

One or more LMP keys will expire in less than 30 days.   

Environment

Executing the CAS9 CAIRIM License Management Program.

Resolution

In order to eliminate the CAS9182A messages, add this message to your SYS1.PARMLIB MPFLISTxx member.  

Contact CA to request new keys.
