Test Case tab count does not match listed Test Cases in Agile Central.

Issue/Introduction

From the Test Cases tab, in a User Story, the tab shows a number that does not match the number of listed Test Cases on the screen. For example, in the screenshot below, the tab shows 3 Test Cases, but there are 4 Test Cases listed.

Cause

This user story has one or more child stories that have Test Cases associated to them and the test case tab only shows the total number of test cases at the parent level.

Resolution

The Test Cases tab will display the count of Test Cases that are associated to that specific User Story. However, the list of Test Cases shows all Test Cases that rollup to that User Story including its children’s Test Cases in order to ensure that a user has a full view of any relevant Test Cases. 

Verify this is the case!

From the User Story:

1. Select the Children tab
2. Use the Expand All button to expand all of the Children
3. Notice that the Formatted ID of the Test Case in the Child Story matches one of the Formatted ID’s in the list on the Test Cases tab.
