Maileater not able to log into Office365 Mailbox

Even after following Knowledge Article KB000009708, the mailbox configured for Maileater in CA Service Desk Manager is not able to connect to a Microsoft Office365 Account. 

The following error is noted in the logs:

09/02 10:45:05.67 SDM-SERVER pdm_maileater_nxd 7808 ERROR pdm_maileater_nxd.c 8530 Authentication failed using (Clear) for IMAP Server [] on Port 143 Login Failed

This can be caused by IMAP access not being enabled for that Microsoft Office365 Account.


Enable IMAP access to the Microsoft Office365 account which maileater is configured to use. Then recycle the pdm_maileater_nxd process.
