Issue/Introduction

After upgrading CA 2E to the latest release of r8.7, our system accepts date of the format MDY (Month-Day-Year). Prior to the upgrade the accepted date format was DMY (Day-Month-Year).  Can we change the date format back to DMY, and if so, how to do this?

Resolution

The default format on the install/upgrade is MDY (Month-Day-Year), which is the reason why it is set to MDY after the install/upgrade.  You can change the date format back to DMY (Day-Month-Year) from MDY.  To change it back to DMY, enter the command 'DSPDTAARA DTAARA(Y2DTFMA)' to view the current setting.  Enter the command 'CHGDTAARA DTAARA(Y2DTFMA)' to change the date format to 'DMY'.   This needs to be changed for both Y1SY and Y2SY.
