Issue/Introduction

Connection establishment between an end-user machine and TCPaccess X.25 Server may fail persistently with:

 

Cause 0, Diag 122 (DTE originated/Maintenance action)

Error: address block too short (1)

Resolution

Q-bit (sometimes spelled Q bit) was implemented on the Cisco Router at end-user end:



X25 map rbp mmmmmmm local port nnnnn q-bit

Note: Q-bit means Qualified Data Bit.

Note: mmmmmmm and nnnnn are specific numeric values defined to the environment.
