Getting minor alarms in Spectrum when the alarm is informational or warning in UIM

Issue/Introduction

When Spectrum is integrated with UIM, the following table displays the alarm severity mapping between UIM and Spectrum, based on the severity of the alarm.

When the alarm is raised in UIM and viewed in Spectrum:

When you found Spectrum has raised Minor alarms, while their severity in UIM is only informational or warning, then this article could help you to resolve the problem.

Environment

Spectrum 10.2.X and Spectrumgtw Probe 8.6.1

Resolution

Please contact support and request the Spectrumgtw-8.6.1-HF patch.

Once this patch is applied on Spectrumgtw, Spectrum will only raise events instead of alarms for those informational or warnings messages from UIM.
