Issue/Introduction

CA MetaCOBOL+ Version 1.1 had a number of "special" PTFs for customization of the DLM macro to increase limits for Dataviews and for subject/object. Are these customizations necessary for CA Datacom support for MetaCOBOL version 15.1?

Environment

Release: DBCISF00200-15.1-Datacom-Database-Option for CICS Services
Component:

Resolution

No. The limitations that existed with DLM under 1.1 have been alleviated with 15.1.

The DLM macro provided by CA Datacom support for MetaCOBOL Version 15.1 already has those values increased to the maximum values so no user increase customization is needed.

Therefore, the changes noted in the following CA MetaCOBOL+ Version 1.1 speclal solutions for the DLM macro are not needed with 15.1:

PTF LS28932:
DLM: INCREASE DATAVIEW LIMIT IN THE DLM MACRO. EDIT
THE NUMBER '20' TO THE NEW DATAVIEW LIMIT  REQUIRED
BY YOUR SITE BEFORE APPLYING THE USERMOD.

PTF LS28934:
DLM: INCREASE SUBJ/OBJ LIMIT IN THE DLM MACRO. EDIT
THE NUMBER '20' TO THE NEW LIMIT REQUIRED PRIOR  TO
APPLYING THE USERMOD.

Additional Information

If there still is any question or concern, compare the user DLM macro with the 15.1 source macro CABDSAMP(MCT#DLM) and open a Support case with the user DLM macro source for review under product Datacom component DBMET.
