Considerations with an external SORT program upgrade for CA Panexec

Issue/Introduction

The customer is using SYNCSORT, not DFSORT. And they have a plan to upgrade it from v1.4 to 2.1.
Does CA product execute the SORT program ?
If YES, does it use the external SORT program(DFSORT/SYNCSORT and etc...) ?

Resolution

CA Panexec does not use the SORT program. But, you can receive a data as the system sort file(SYSOUT, SORTWK01, SORTWK02 and SORTWK03 DD).
You need it only when CA Easytrieve or another program uses the system sort.
