JVMJZBL2008E Error running CEMCCONF to customize new LPAR - RC-0100

Issue/Introduction

When running the SAMPJCL(CEMCCONF) job for customizing a new LPAR -SDEV. getting a RC=0100 since it could not find the *.jar file in the cai/cem directory. What causes this error?

JVMJZBL2008E Could not find or load class: com.ca.chorus.config.customizer.ChorusCustomizer

Resolution

There are multiple causes for this type of error.

• The most common cause is that the CEM ZFS is not mounted.
• The JVMJZBL2008E error could be due to the jar could not be loaded due to security. For a zFS users need authority to access the file system objects on z/OS UNIX zFS file through the SAF FSACCESS resource class..
• An invalid java path in the  jcl parameter in CEMCCONF can cause the error.
