Spectrum Installation on Linux fails with SPC-INT-20031 error

SPC-INT-20031: "xxxxxx" is not a valid installation directory owner

Environment

Spectrum 10.x
Red Hat Linux

Cause

The installation owner must be a local system account.

Resolution

This error is caused due to the fact that the installation owner is not a local system account. 

The user specified as the installation owner must exist in the /etc/passwd file.
