Error creating a Spectrum Event Series rule

Issue/Introduction

While trying to create an Event Series rule in Spectrum, the following error is seen:

Cause

Using the same event id multiple times in the same Event Series rule. For example, trying to use the following series of events in an Event Rule:

First event 0xfff00001 then event 0xfff00002 then second event 0xfff00001

This Event Series rule will fail with the error noted above because event 0xfff00001 is already used in the rule.

 

 

Resolution

This is functioning as designed. You cannot use the same event id multiple times within the same Event Series rule.
