No option to upgrade AdminUI (WamUI) when running the installer

Issue/Introduction

When doing an AdminUI upgrade, the installer doesn't ask to do an upgrade, and it proceeds to do a fresh install directly.

Why this behavior if the AdminUI is already installed?

 

Cause

This behavior when the installer does not see entries for AdminUI prerequisites nor AdminUI on file:

 /var/.com.zerog.registry.xml

 

Resolution

Re-install the original version for both AdminUI prerequisites and AdminUI, following the documentation.

After the install, verify that both AdminUI prerequisites and AdminUI have entries in /var/.com.zerog.registry.xml

Then, upgrade the AdminUI prerequisites and AdminUI.

An AdminUI registration might be needed with the Policy Server.
