Issue/Introduction

When trying to run a WAAE command on a WAAE Client machine, get the following error message:

Unable to open file: /opt/CA/SharedComponents/Csam/SockAdapter/log/csam.log

Starting "/opt/CA/SharedComponents/Csam/SockAdapter/bin/csampmuxf".

Failed to start "/opt/CA/SharedComponents/Csam/SockAdapter/bin/csampmuxf" - Unable to create client listener UNIX Domain Socket

Environment

Release: All Supported Versions for Unix/Linux
Component: Workload Automation AE (AutoSys Edition):

Cause

The uid permission for $CSAM_SOCKADAPTER/bin/csampmux is missing.

Resolution

Run "chmod 4755 $CASHCOMP/bin/csampmux" when login as root.
