Issue/Introduction

The DB2 Sysprog just upgraded maintenance to IBM DB2 V11 to RSU1706. The client then ran the CA Date Simulator STCKFNDX utility to obtain the latest Store clock instruction stored in the DB2 module DSNXGRDS. The client then issued the WARPPARM utility to put the program in question under CA Date Simulator control using the latest store clock offset.

When the client executes the application program the job fails with error message

WARP051E: INVALID DSNXGRDS OFFSET SPECIFIED

Cause

The clients DB2 Sub System that the DB2 program was executed in was using the OLD previous DB2 RSU maintenance level. The client had upgraded several DB2 sub systems pointing to the new maintenance but forgot to upgraded the failing DB2 system with the latest DB2 RSU level. So the store clock instruction was not at that offset when using the old maintenance level.

Environment

Z/OS DB2

Resolution

Recycle the DB2 sybsystem pointing to the latest DB2 RSU maintenance level that matches the IBM RSU level that CA Date Simulator used with the STCKFNDX utility to obtain the latest Store clock instruction.
