"ACF04056 ACCESS TO RESOURCE DCMT TYPE RIKC BY user NOT AUTHORIZED" message is seen in an IDMS region even after updating the resource rule. What needs to happen for the new rule to take effect?
If the resource rule TYPE is locally resident rather than globally resident the IDMS region needs to be re-cycled before the rule change can be picked up.
If the resource rule TYPE is made globally resident in the GSO INFODIR any rule changes can be activated by issuing the 'F ACF2,REBUILD(xxx)' console command (where xxx is the Resource TYPE code).
Storage utilization is improved when common rules are made globally resident.
For example, when 100 users access the same resource, 100 copies of that rule are in LSQA unless the rule is made resident.
Details on the GSO INFODIR can be found in section Infostorage Rule Directories (INFODIR).
