Issue/Introduction

Getting a return code 52 running the OPSSGVBK started task to backup global variables:
12.57.23 STC04079  OPS8500I Global variable backup for subsystem OPSS has started
 12.57.23 STC04079  OPS8510E Dynamic allocation failed, RC=X'0000000C', error code=X'0000000C'
12.57.23 STC04079  OPS8512I Global variable backup ended RC = 52, number of global variables backed up = 0

Cause

The value of the parameter GLOBALBACKUPDSN was incorrect. It should not include the GDG version:
GLOBALBACKUPDSN 'PS.OPSMVS.GLOBAL.BACKUP(+1)'

Environment

z/OS
OPS/MVS

Resolution

Set the GLOBALBACKUPDSN parameter to just the GDG dsname without the generation (+1). For example:
GLOBALBACKUPDSN 'PS.OPSMVS.GLOBAL.BACKUP'
