Certified metric is not available in snmpcollector

Issue/Introduction

I want to monitor 'Fibre Channel' metrics for my Brocade device.

However I do not see 'Fibre Channel' Metric Family and its metrics. Is there any additional steps required ?

I expect the metrics to be available.

According to devicesupport page (http://devicesupport.ca.com) the metrics is listed as certified.

Environment

snmpcollector 3.30 or later

Cause

Starting with snmpcollector 3.30, Metric Families discovered by default have been reduced and this is the cause.

Resolution

Please enable metrics in template and apply the template to device so that Metric Family come available.

Additional Information

List of Metric Family discovered by default is controlled by <metric_families> section in snmpcollector.cfg

In this example, after you enable Fibre Channel Metric via template, the below is added to snmpcollector.cfg

and the list of Metric Family discovered by default in this probe instance is expanded as well.
