Unable to search for Explore & Correlate definitions - Identity Manager

Issue/Introduction

This article describes the steps required to resolve an issue where an administrative user is unable to search for newly created Explore & Correlate definitions within the Identity Manager User Console.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5

Cause

The System Manager role is missing the required scope rule to access Explore & Correlate objects, preventing administrators from viewing or searching for these definitions in the console.

Resolution

1. Log in to the Identity Manager User Console as an administrator (e.g., superuser or imadmin).
2. Navigate to Roles and Tasks > Modify Admin Role.
3. Select the System Manager role.
4. Click on the Members tab.
5. Click the Edit (pencil icon) button next to the scope rule.
   
   
   
   
6. Scroll to the bottom of the window to the scope rule combo box.
   
   
   
   
7. Select Explore and Correlate Object from the list and click the Plus (+) icon.
   
   
   
   
8. Set the scope rule to (all).
   
   
   
   
9. Click Save to apply the changes.
   • The administrator will now be able to search for and view the Explore & Correlate definitions.
