Issue/Introduction

Need help in resolving issue with mainframe subset creation CAGEN Encyclopedia server v 8.0 hosted in mainframes Getting error while trying to create new subset in the existing model. The issue is occuring for work as well as PROD model. Below are the error details: Error1: PARM='A,N,DEBUG='; OPTION='A'; PARM='DEBUG='; *** SEVERE ERROR ***, CALL IEF SUPPORT GETID: ALL SUBSET IDENTIFIERS ARE IN USE ONLOC = FNDGAP ONCODE = 9 Error2: TIEAUTH ERROR: 8.0.A3 OR EARLIER MODELS ARE NOT SUPPORTED FUNCTION NOT ALLOWED FOR MODEL, MUST CONVERT FIRST FUNCTION NOT ALLOWED FOR MODEL, MUST CONVERT FIRST FUNCTION NOT ALLOWED FOR MODEL, MUST CONVERT FIRST FUNCTION NOT ALLOWED FOR MODEL, MUST CONVERT FIRST *** SEVERE ERROR ***, CALL IEF SUPPORT GETID: ALL SUBSET IDENTIFIERS ARE IN USE ONLOC = FNDGAP ONCODE = 9

Cause

The number of subsets defined has reached the limit for the encyclopedia.

Resolution

Delete unused/unwanted subset definitions. Run CEUCLEN job that is found in your JCL library. Now able to create subsets.
