While installing TDM-GTServer, I am receiving the following error message: Unable to create user account or group 'ALMService_user' on the local machine. Error Code: 2245. The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements.
<Please see attached file for image>
The ALM Service can only be run by an administrator of the machine. However, it cannot be a System user or a domain user. Domain users are required by enterprises to change their passwords every 90 days. Due to these policies, development had to auto create a certain user during the GT Server installation. Since the HP ALM Service is started using a task in Windows Task Scheduler, which is run as a specific user, development is looking into eliminating the new user creation step during installation. This new process should be available in the TDM 4.4 GA installation. To download the latest GA release, please follow the directions in this document: https://support.ca.com/us/knowledge-base-articles.TEC1903942.html.
CA Test Data Manager (TDM)
If the system user "ALMService_user" already exists on the system, then the installer would not attempt to recreate it. In order to workaround the problem, the user "ALMService_user" needs to be created manually with required password complexity before attempting the installation. This can be done by your internal IT team.
