Problem searching / filtering on Feature names

Issue/Introduction

When searching for a name or ID to populate a filter the choices listed (+/-) 10 is not sufficient to locate the correct name. Typing more and more characters will narrow down the list but if the list is very large one may not be able to find the name to use as a filter. 

Is there a workaround for this?

Cut and paste the entire name of the feature into the search box.
