CICS does not connect to the MUF error DC00195I

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to a new release, CICS does not connect to the MUF. CICS starts the PLT, but does not open any databases.
DBOC INQ=GENOPTS shows the correct release level, but does not show the MUF name.

DBOC INQ=??? gets the following error:

DC00195I MUF mufname FAILED. SID DOES NOT EXIST

Cause

When connecting to multiple MUFs, the DBCVTPR module is assembled and linked with DBCSID macros which specify the MUFs to connect to in the SIDNAME= parameter.

The problem can be due to:

• The DBSIDPR module is missing
• The DBSIDPR module name specified in the SIDNAME= parameter is missing
• An incorrect version of  DBCVTPR is being used

 

Resolution

Check the CICS DFHRPL concatenation to determine what version of DBCVTPR is being used and that it contains the DBSIDPR load module and all other DBSIDPR module names specified in the SIDNAME= parameter of the DBCSID macro.
