Issue/Introduction

Using CSM 6.0, and trying to install r20 of the CA DB2 Tools, the creation of the USS directory fails with the following error: 

   
MME0270S - Action completed with an error. Action: setuid Error code: 139 EDC5139I Operation not permitted. Reason code: 0xB880000 Info: setuid(0)

Environment

CSM 6.0 build 146. CA DB2 TOOLS r20. RACF

Cause

The CSM user's TSO userID did not have the authority to perform the setuid function.

Resolution

This condition was corrected by adding the CSM user's TSO ID to RACF's:

PROFILE = BPX.SUPERUSER
