Issue/Introduction

If jobs are running as scheduled, and, for some reason JOBTRAC hangs and we are forced to recycle JOBTRAC's STC, what will happen to jobs already executing and other jobs in the scheduled queue considering that there may be inter-dependencies among jobs. In general, what happens in a scenario like this?

Resolution

In general, there should be no problems if ENF remains up. During the time period when Jobtrac is down, any job status changes will be recorded in the ENF database. When Jobtrac is back up, it should catch up the job statuses from ENF and update its database accordingly.
