VM:Backup restore screen/ display is not correct when there are more than 65535 subdirectories.

When viewing what has been backed up, the Pseudo vaddr only takes 4 digits, starts with 0000 and goes up to FFFF.  After that, the number rolls over, starts over at 0 (zero) again.
So the screens show the wrong data to restore. It points back to data in the original list it seems.
The data is being backed up as it should, this is just a "presentation" issue.

Is there a way around this?

Environment

Release: all
Component: VMB

Resolution

Use the XRESTORE linemode command to restore individual files.

Or, create a TPI restore to restore the whole directory.

Additional Information

XRESTORE is documented in the VM:Backup System Programmers reference, available at techdocs.broadcom.com
