Issue/Introduction

Administrators may encounter locked fields when attempting to modify user attributes directly within the Identity Governance Client Tools.

This procedure outlines the necessary steps to unlock the configuration file, allowing for the manual editing of user attribute values.

Environment

Identity Governance 14.x

Resolution

To unlock and modify configuration files within the Identity Governance Client Tools:

  1. Launch the Client Tools application.
  2. Navigate to the File menu and select Review Database.


  3. Identify and select the configuration file you intend to modify.


  4. In the configuration settings, uncheck the Write Protected option.
  5. Set the File Type dropdown menu to User Database Files.


  6. Open the file to edit the required User attribute values as needed.
