Issue/Introduction

When logging into IP, at the top-left above the menu items, the bar has a grey background.  How can this be changed to have a different color background?  In the IP admin console Branding section, if the toggle is set to "Select element" the message "Could not find element - There are no configured css rules for this selection." appears when clicking on that element.  What rule needs to be configured to set the background color?

Environment

CA Identity Portal 14.1

Resolution

Follow these steps:

In the CA Identity Portal Management Console, navigate to the Admin UI.

Click Branding.

The CA Identity Portal home page appears.

At the top of the left panel, select the Desktop section.

Scroll to the bottom of the left panel and add a Custom CSS rule named ".nav-menu .nav-menu-header".

In the center panel, add the attribute "background-color" with the desired color name, e.g. "red" or select a custom color by clicking the button under "background-color".

Click Save to save your changes.
